Biographical Information
Erik Lunkenheimer brings decades of unusually wide leadership experience to his search and Advisory practice. He is versed in the fundamentals of many industries: Technology, Manufacturing & Distribution, Retail, Energy, Chemicals, and Oil & Gas (Seismic, E&P, Midstream/Pipeline and Refining). He has an appreciation for the challenges of corporate scale having held leadership positions in international corporations, US-based corporations, boutiques firms as well as start-ups, with revenues anywhere from $100B down to $10MM, North American as well as international. From his management consulting experience his diverse skill set includes: Vision/Mission Setting, Strategy Formulation, Sales and Marketing Planning/Execution, Business Issue Analysis, Cultural Assessment, Operational Change Management, Business Process Redesign, Organization Restructuring, Post M&A Leadership Rationalization/Development and Executive Coaching.
Erik's search practice focuses primarily in the Energy/Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Manufacturing industries.
Prior to joining Allen Austin, Erik held officer level positions at CAP Gemini, Computer Sciences Corp., Resource Evaluation Limited (The Hackett group). Interand Corp. (the NFL Telestrator). He started his career in Sales & Marketing for IBM in Retail Store Systems. He has been privileged to advise the C-suite, EVP or SVP leaders of Exxon/Mobil, Conoco, Occidental, DuPont, General Motors, NuStar Energy and Enterprise Products. Internationally he has led Operations assessment teams for clients covering London, Calgary, Dubai, Jakarta, Sao Paolo, Congo, Geneva, Nicaragua, Johannesburg, Stavanger, and Singapore. In contrast, he has led Vision/Mission/Strategy Formulation off-sites for pre-IPO start-ups in the Southeast.
Erik and his wife Jackie enjoy international travel when their not busy at home raising their two teen-agers, Mason and Ciprianna. Erik originally studied to be a concert pianist before changing direction to pursue his engineering degree. He is an avid tennis player and has been a choir member and soloist in the Music Ministry of Mount Paran Church of God, Atlanta.
